| I'm hoping someone can help me out here. Thanks in advance.
I recently purchased the Waves GTR 3.5 plugin for my guitar. When I use it in stand alone mode directly from the desktop, I get a great stereo sound. There are two amp heads on the screen: one goes to the right and one to the left speaker and I can mix the two sounds however I want.
When I use it in S1 (Firestudio Mobile), both amps only generate sound when panned to the left. If I pan one of the amps to the right, that amp does not put out any sound at all. In the end, when they're both panned to the left, the sound comes from both amps and both speakers but they cannot be separated.
I realize that the input is mono (L), but I'm wondering why it takes the signal and splits it in standalone mode, sending it out as two separate sounds to two separate speakers, but it can't do this while using it through S1.
I'm hoping I can switch some settings in Universal control or the I/O screen to fix this. I've tried, but to no avail.
Any help would be appreciated.

| Create a mono track for the guitar input and then create a bus for that track by right clicking on the track in the mixer and selecting 'Create bus for selected tracks'

Right, this will work. I was going to say the same thing.
Another way is to use a stereo audio track then drag in the 'GTR Tool Rack Mono/Stereo' version. It will work fine but the down side is that as you record the waveform appears on only the half the track.
If you don't like that then you put the PreSonus Binaural Pan on the Input to your stereo channel and hit the MONO button.

You would need to setup a Stereo input in Song Setup for your guitar even if you are only connected to one of the two channels.
